Our Mom’s Sip & See is back at Runway Bridal on Sunday, November 8th from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM, and we’re opening our doors for a relaxed morning dedicated to all things Mother of the Wedding.
Whether you’re ready to start shopping, have absolutely no idea where to begin, or simply want to see what’s available before booking an appointment, this is the perfect opportunity to get started.
What to Expect at Our Mom’s Sip & See
We’ll kick off the morning with a quick introduction to Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom dress shopping, including some of our favourite tips, tricks and advice from our team.
We’ll chat about:
- When you should start shopping
- How Mother of the Wedding sizing works
- What to expect when ordering your dress
- Choosing a colour and style that works with the wedding
- Top trends for Mom’s
- Alterations and timelines
- How to make your shopping experience as easy and enjoyable as possible
After our introduction, you’ll have the opportunity to browse our collection and decide what works best for you. You can book a full Mother of the Wedding appointment for another day, or, if you’re ready to shop, you can try on dresses that morning!
From 10:30 AM–12:00 PM, change rooms will be available on a first come, first served basis. No shopping appointment is required for the event.
PLUS: Special MLNY Trunk Show Dresses ✨
For our Sip & See, we’ll also have an expanded selection of Mother of the Wedding dresses from MLNY in store for a limited-time trunk show.
That means even more styles to browse and try during the event — including dresses we don’t normally have as part of our regular in-store collection.
Why November Is the PERFECT Time to Shop for Spring & Summer Weddings
One of the biggest things we tell moms is: don’t wait too long to shop!
Mother of the Wedding dresses can take approximately 4–6 months to order, and you’ll want to leave additional time once your dress arrives for alterations and finishing touches, about 2 months.
Ideally, we recommend starting your search approximately 8–9 months before the wedding.
It may feel early, but for Spring and Summer 2027 weddings, November is actually a fantastic time to get started. Shopping earlier gives you more options, more time to order the dress you truly love, and a much more relaxed experience leading up to the wedding.
No last-minute panic required. 😉
