I JUST GOT ENGAGED! NOW WHAT?

Congratulations! We are so excited for you. Wedding planning can be so much fun, but there is a lot to think about, so let your experienced stylist help guide you through the part we know best – dresses!

In our current world shopping 12 – 16 months before your wedding is best. This allows you to plan your shopping budget, have all of the options of our in store dresses (dresses can take 5-8 month to order in) as well as your alteration time, including customizations if you choose. Rushing your dress order can be costly and isn’t always an option depending on the dress and your timeline. Who wants to be stressed about their dress arriving on time? Not you!

Trust the process, some of our brides have the teary emotional moment when they find the one, and some don’t. Everyone is different and you have to trust your gut. It is VERY normal to find your perfect dress on your first appointment. You chose our store for a reason based on your research, right?

Stay open minded, your stylist wants to help you feel beautiful and make the choice that’s right for you. They know how dresses fit to accentuate or hide anything you may want to.

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?
Do the nature of our business we do require appointments. This allows us to prepare for your visit ahead of time and be sure you and your guests have a great experience, while being guided through your options with your stylist. This also allows us to schedule one or our consultants to you and only you. All of these things make for a fantastic appointment!
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
For most dresses you won’t need to wear a bra, however, if you want to try dresses on with one, we recommend a nude strapless and light or nude undergarments. Our bridal suite offers a pedestal for you to stand on that will allow you to see the proper length of the gowns. Shoes are not required. Feel free to bring any images on your phone or tablet that you are interested in, we can help you pick similar gown styles from there. Don’t forget a small supportive entourage, your open mind and a beautiful smile!
 
WHAT ABOUT COVID-19?
There are no current restrictions in place.

HOW MUCH ARE YOUR DRESSES?
We carry a variety of price points for our clients. With that said we also take time to research our designers to ensure that we are finding price points that work for our brides and they offer great quality and current trends.
Wedding dresses can range from $1500-$3200 on average in our boutique. We do offer a small selection of dresses that may fall below that on clearance.
We also want to make sure we have good working partnerships with our designers, and their business practises are ethical and sustainable.
 
 
WHO SHOULD I BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?
We are able to accommodate four guests plus the bride at your appointment. Of course we recommend selecting those whose opinions you value most. (Please note this may change during Covid-19, see your appointment reference email for details.) Shopping with too many people can become overwhelming if there are a lot of opinions to take in. We find it easier for you to really find out what you like with a few of your favourite people. You are welcome to add others to your appointment virtually. CAN WE BRING CHAMPAGNE?

We do not allow open alcohol in our boutique as we are not a licensed establishment at this time. We know that it is an exciting time when shopping for your perfect gown with your favourite people. Upgrade to one of our packages for a special take home treat!

AM I ABLE TO BRING FOOD/DRINKS?

We ask that you do not bring in any food or drink (bottled water is allowed) into the boutique as we keep all of our gowns great condition and don’t want any accidents to happen! We are also happy to recommend a few of our favourite spots to celebrate with a drink and snacks after your appointment!

BRIDESMAIDS

We have a beautiful selection of bridesmaid dresses to choose from. They can take about 4 months to order in. Some rush options are available upon request for an extra charge. Our current selection can range in price from $200-$325. See our bridesmaid page for more details.

WHAT IF I HAVE LESS TIME?

No problem! (This is pretty common, especially right now) Although we typically recommend ordering if time allows, we also have a great selection of wedding dresses that we sell off the rack to brides who need their dress quickly. We will still work through your appointment with you and help offer up the best options for you.
